I decided, since the official Earth Day is coming up, I'd talk about ways to help the earth through fashion. I actually mentioned a few ways in my other blog posts, but I decided to go into detail here.

For any outfit, a bag can make it ten times better. Unless it's cheap looking then it sticks out like a sore thumb. Most people buy leather bags for the look and because it lasts much longer. However if you're trying to live a vegan lifestyle then this is a huge no no.
Some might think if you're living a vegan lifestyle then you have no choice but to carry fabric purses. Some like how fabric bags look. I personally don't like fabric bags because, one, to me they're unattractive, and two, they fall apart easily. I prefer the leather look. As a vegan and a "tree hugger", I find vegan and green fashion important for numerous reason. One being that chemical clothes, like acid-wash jeans, are harmful to the earth. Due to global warming, I believe that we should do all that we can to decrease chemical use.
Often when you look for clothing that use vegan alternatives to animal materials, they are cheap, and they fall apart and shed. Then you can no longer use them. It is unfortunate for vegans that real leather lasts such a long time. So many of the leather alternatives used for shoes, belts, and bags are very expensive. Most people don’t have money to spend on overly priced items, so I’ve put together a list of 3 affordable vegan fashion brands.
