I hop out of bed every morning for work at 6:15 am. If I'm feeling peppy enough, and not groggily dragging my feet, I will put cute orange tea kettle on the stove and prepare a cup of tea. Tea time is a real thing for me. Something just feels right about starting your morning that way.
I don't know why exactly I started drinking herbal tea all of the time. Maybe it was for health reasons; drinking herbs is great for your immune system. I used to hate getting sick. I remember only drinking tea when I was ill sometimes, but then it became a staple in my daily life. Then my mom bought me my own tea kettle (the orange one previously mentioned), and my first personal mug which had the words "Never Quite Your Daydream" written on it in a script font. I was so proud. I have since bought other mugs and have acquired quite a tea collection.
There is something comforting about holding a steaming cup of brewing tea to my face. I've always liked doing that, breathing it in, saying a prayer, just finding peace in it all. And once I drank it down, I would just feel good.
These good feels was before knowing what I know now about water holding energies and if you speak positivity into it, then consume it, you can nourish your spirit. Interestingly, I have always been attracted to concepts before knowing that they were real things. I guess my love of the steam in my face meant something after all.
Once I pack all of my things for the office and get dressed, hopefully within a decent amount of time, I will use my tea time as a moment to manifest, meditate, and set some daily intentions. With just the plain tea, I will begin my session with mellow music and a list of affirmations that I wrote for myself, speaking those affirmations aloud over my tea cup. Once finished, I will add brown sugar or vanilla almond milk, if I have a taste for it, and drink down all of those positive words.
Keep in mind that even the type of tea you add can also effect the energy that infuses into the water and what kinds of intentions you manifest into your day. I've read that apple is tea is great for manifesting wealth, lavender is good for relieving stress and manifesting relaxation, and rose tea is great for manifesting love, whether for yourself or for others. A tea I like to start my morning with is the "Sweet Tangerine: Positive Energy" tea by YOGI. It is slightly caffeinated and provides a morning boost.
There is a company I will be trying called Manifest Tea (manifesttea.com) that sells special blends to manifest whatever you are looking to bring into your life. I will purchase a few of these blends and try them with my sessions.
2020 is a new decade and it is essential that we find ways to reclaim our energy and power to direct our lives in the way that we want them to go. Surprisingly, something as simple as a morning tea time can help in your daily manifestations and meditations.
